"The most fun in film education is learning how to use the videocamera and the editing system."

Film Education at Kitisenranta School

Pupils attend to film screenings in which film classics are shown amongst new films. Film Education is a part of school curriculum, pupils between ages 13 to 16 study it as an optional subject. Film education is integrated into other school subjects as well. The school has also a film education workshop for younger pupils.

Through international film education projects there are great possibilities to collaborate with other European schools. We aim towards raising cultural awareness and transfering good practices, methods and materials in film education with our partnership schools.

Kitisenranta staff members learn about film education practices in an ongoing project called Film Education in Sodankylä.
